Banta Singh Letter To "Bill Gates"
Dear Mr. Bill Gates,
This letter is from Banta Singh from Punjab. We have bought a computer for our home and we found problems, which I want to bring to your notice.
1. After connecting to Internet we planned to open e-mail account and whenever we fill the form in Hotmail in the password column, only ****** appears, but in the rest of the fields whatever we typed appears, but we face this problem only in password field. We checked with hardware vendor Santa Singh and he said that there is no problem in keyboard. Because of this we open the e-mail account with password. *****. I request you to check this as we ourselves do not know what the password is.
2. We are unable to enter anything after we click the 'shut down '
button.
3. There is a button 'start' but there is no 'stop' button. We
request you to check this.
4. We find there is 'Run' in the menu. One of my friend clicked 'run
' has ran upto Amritsar! So, we request you to change that to 'sit',
so that we can click that by sitting.
5. One doubt is that any 're-scooter' available in system? As I find
only 're-cycle', but I own a scooter at my home.
6. There is 'Find' button but it is not working properly. My wife
lost the door key and we tried a lot for tracing the key with this '
find', but unable to trace. Is it a bug??
7. Every night I am not sleeping as I have to protect my 'mouse' from
CAT, So I suggest u to provide one DOG to kill that cat.
8. Please confirm when u are going to give me money for winning
'HEARTS' (playing cards in games) and when are u coming to my home to
collect ur money.
9. My child learnt 'Microsoft word' now he wants to learn 'Microsoft
sentence', so when u will provide that?
Best regards,
Banta Singh

CRUELTY IN THE NAME OF ALLAH
Why should we study the sacred scripture ?
An old farmer lived on his farm in the mountains with his young grandson. Each morning he got up early, sat at the kitchen table, and read His Bhagavad-gita. His grandson wanted to be just like his grandfather, so tried to emulate him in every way he could.
One day the grandson asked, “Grandpa, I try to read the Bhagavad-gita just like you do, but I don’t understand most of it, and whatever I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. So what good is it doing me to read the Bhagavad-gita?”
The grandfather, who was putting coal on the fire, quietly turned and said, “Take this coal basket down to the river and bring me back a basket of water.”The boy did as he was told, but the water leaked out before he could get the basket home.
The grandfather laughed and said, “You will have to move a little faster next time,” and he sent the boy back to the river to try again. This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket emptied before he was able to return home. Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was impossible to carry water in a basket, and he went to get the bucket. But the old man said, “I don’t want a bucket of water; I want a basket of water. You are just not trying hard enough.” He stepped out the door to watch the boy try for the third time.
At this point the boy knew what he was trying to accomplish was impossible, so he decided to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would leak out before he got back to the house.
The boy dipped the basket into river and ran as hard as he could. When he reached his grandfather the basket was empty. He gasped, “See grandpa? It is useless !”
“So you think it is useless?” the old man asked. “Then look at the basket.” The boy looked and saw for the first time that the basket was different. It had been washed clean of the dirty coal stains and was now clean inside and out.
What is the moral of this event ?
The grandfather replied :
01) “Grandson, that is what happens when you read the Bhagavad-gita.
02) You might not understand or remember everything you read, but the words will change you inside and out.
03) That is the work of Lord Krishna in our lives.”
How can we apply this in our own lives ?
01) We should cultivate the required inquisitiveness, like the boy in this story,
to know the things and also sincerely strive for it.
02) To understand the things in the right perspective and to progress in our
devotional life, we must be submissive to our own authorities – just like
the grandson was submissive and followed exactly as the grandfather has
instructed him although he was not convinced to get a basket of water.
That submissiveness alone has brought him the right realization in the
last.
03) Like the grandfather, we need to be regular in our spiritual practices like
chanting and reading the scriptures etc – on daily basis.
04) We must have genuine appreciation for the sincere questions that
neophytes ask us.
05) We must have genuine sympathy for the ignorance of the neophyte
devotees.
06) We must strive our best to answer all their genuine questions as simply as
possible and in the language in which they can understand – just like the
grandfather did in this story.
07) We need to recognize and openly acknowledge that whatever good that
happens, it is nothing but the causeless mercy of Krishna in our life – as
was recognized by the grandfather in this story.
08) Sincerely pass on all the credit to our own Guru and Krishna for all Their
blessings and mercy – as was done by the grandfather in this story.
My humble request to you, please !

No Shortcut for Success..
A jobless man applied for the position of "office boy" at Microsoft.
The HR manager interviewed him then watched him cleaning the floor as a test.
"You are employed."
He said." Give me your e-mail address and I'll send you the
application to fill in, as well as date when you may start."
The man replied "But I don't have a computer, neither an email."
I'm sorry", said the HR manager, "If you don't have an email, that
means you do not exist. And who doesn't exist, cannot have the job."
The man left with no hope at all. He didn't know what to do, with only
$10 in his pocket. He then decided to go to the supermarket and buy a
10Kg tomato crate.
He then sold the tomatoes in a door to door round. In less than two
hours, he succeeded to double his capital. He repeated the Operation
three times, and returned home with $60. The man realized that he can
survive by this Way, and started to go everyday earlier, and return
late Thus, his money doubled or tripled every day. Shortly, he bought
a cart, then a truck, then he had his own fleet of delivery vehicles.
5 years later, the man is one of the biggest food retailers in the US .
He started to plan his family's future, and decided to have a life insurance.
He called an insurance broker, and chose a protection plan. When the
conversation was concluded, the broker asked him his email. The man
replied, "I don't have an email". The broker answered curiously, "You
don't have an email, and yet have succeeded to build an empire. Can
you imagine what you could have been! if you had an email?!!"
The man thought for a while and replied, "Yes, I'd be an office boy at
Microsoft!"
Moral of the story:
M1 - Internet is only a tool to your life.
M2 - If you have internet, and do not work hard, you cant be a millionaire.

From studying under the streetlights to CEO of a US firm!
From studying under the streetlights to CEO of a US firm!

Here is the rags-to-riches story of an extremely talented boy from a small village in Tamil Nadu who has risen to be the chief executive officer of a company in Seattle, USA.
It is also the story of how Kalyana Raman Srinivasan, who was so indigent that he had to study under a streetlight, but then managed to score excellent marks, rose in life and became today's Kal Raman.
At every turn in his life, he took the difficult path and it turned out to be the right one and in the right direction. His rise to the top is more dramatic than a thriller. Today, he is a very successful entrepreneur and the founder-CEO of GlobalScholar.
Read his extraordinary story of triumph and determination . . .

Difficult childhood
Kal Raman was born and brought up in a small village called Mannarakoil in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu. It was a comfortable normal middle class life for him and his siblings as his father was a Tahasildar there.
But the sudden death of his father at the age of 45 changed everything overnight.
Kal was 15 then. "My mother got a pension of Rs 420 a month and you can imagine how tough it is to educate four children and feed five mouths with Rs 420?"
Hi life changed dramatically after his father's death. The family moved from the rented house to a hut that had no proper water supply or electricity. Kal Raman remembers, "All of us used to study under the streetlight and, thank god, the streetlights used to work those days! MGR (M G Ramachandran) was the chief minister then. We had to sell the plates to buy rice to eat and my mother used to give us rice in our hands. That bad was our situation."
But his mother, who had studied till the 8th standard, was very particular that her children studied. "All our relatives wanted my elder brother to stop studying and take up the small job offered by the government but my mother wanted him to continue studying."
"Then they wanted me to learn typewriting and shorthand so that I could get some job after the 10th standard. But mother said, 'My children are going to get the best education I can offer. Education is our salvation.' She was my hero for her vision and she still is my hero."
What kept the family going? "We were sad but because we accepted our fate, we were at peace with whatever that happened to us. We knew our father would not come back to lift us up from poverty. We also knew our salvation was a long way away."
He didn't know why he used to tell his mother, "One day I will give you so much money that you will not know what to do with it!" Years later, he did exactly that!
First turning point in life
Kal Raman believes that God played a hand in all the major turning points in his life. The first turning point in life was after his 12th standard. He got good marks in both the engineering and medicine entrance exams, and for engineering, he got admission at the Anna University in Chennai while for medicine, it was in the Tirunelveli Medical College.
"While going in the bus with my mother to join the medical college, I told her, "If I join for medicine here, the high probability is that my life may begin and end in Tirunelveli. I really want to see the world.' She agreed with my decision to go to Chennai and join Anna University and study Electrical Engineering and Electronics."
So, he stepped into a new world outside Tirunelveli, and that was Chennai. Though he had got merit scholarship and a lot of good people helped him pay the initial fee, the scholarship amount never used to reach him regularly or on time.
"The mess fee was Rs 250 a month and I used to be a defaulter in the mess at least six months in a year. Till you pay the mess fee, you cannot eat in the mess. So, I used to live on day scholars' lunch boxes and also use to fast. That is when I learnt to fast ! I must say a lot of friends helped me with money and food."
Scarcity of money was so bad that he had no money to buy food just before the final semester exams. When he gave his final semester exams, he had not eaten for a day-and-a-half. "After finishing the exam, I almost fainted."
The day after the exams came all the scholarship money that was due and it was around Rs 5,000. "So, I went home a rich man and that helped us repay some loans."

First job
Like opting for Chennai and joining Anna University instead of a college in Tirunelveli, Kal Raman took another risk with his first job also. His first job was with Tata Consulting Engineers (TCE), and he had a choice of joining either Chennai or Mumbai.
Although he knew nobody in Mumbai, he chose the capital of Maharashtra.
He remembered the first day. "It was interesting. With bag and baggage, I went to the TCE office after taking a shower at the railway station as I had no money to go to any hotel. After the first introduction at the office, the manager noticed that I was wearing slippers to the office. He called me and said, "I don't care which college you are coming from but this is not acceptable. You should come in shoes tomorrow."
I said I couldn't come in shoes the next day and this the manager construed as arrogance. "How could you talk like this?" he asked me. I said, "Sir, it is not that I don't want to, but I can't afford to buy shoes. Only after I get my first pay cheque, can I buy shoes. Sir, I request you not to terminate my job because of this. I and my family need this job."
Shocked to hear the explanation, the manager asked, "Where are you staying?" and the reply was, "Dadar Railway Station."
So distressed was the manager to hear Kal speak that he immediately released a month's salary in advance and also arranged for him to be at his friend's place till he could find a place to stay.
"He bought me a pair of shoes and those were my first shoes. The next day, I sent Rs 1,500 from the advance to my mother."

From electrical engineering to programming
Kal's rise in career was meteoric in a short span of time. Within a month, he got a chance to move to Bengaluru (then Bangalore) and also to programming.
Soon, he was in Chennai with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). Within a few months, he was sent to Edinburgh, UK.
From Edinburgh, his next stop was the United States. In 1992, he went to the US as an entry level contractor with Wal-Mart. In two years, he was a director running a division.
When he left Wal-Mart after six years, he was a man running the information systems for the International Division of the retail giant.
In 1998, he joined drugstore.com Online Pharmacy as the chief information officer and in 2001 at the age of 30, he was the CEO of the company.
He was at the right place at the right time. "God was there at every step guiding me to take the right decisions. I was also willing to take risks and tread new paths," Kal says.

Starting GlobalScholar
Philanthropist Mike Milken who had donated more than a billion dollars to education, wanted to use technology so that high quality education was accessible to ordinary people.
Milken convinced Kal to join him. That was the time Kal was building schools in his village for poor students.
In October 2007, GlobalScholar was launched targetting both teachers and students by acquiring four companies -- National Scholar (USA), Classof1 (India), Excelsior (USA), and Ex-Logica (USA) -- that were into education.
"Three months after the launch, I travelled all over the US, India, Singapore and China talking to teachers and companies and the public. I found that the only way to impact education was by impressing teachers. The biggest scarcity in the world is good teachers. We decided to help teachers with teaching practices and kids, learning practices."
Kal Raman decided to concentrate on the US market as the US is more advanced in using technology. "They are also willing to pay money for technology. At present, schools buy the material which can be used by teachers, students and parents."
Today, they have 200 people working for GlobalScholar in Chennai and 150 in the US. The study material is prepared in the Chennai office.
The company that was started with $50 million will have in excess of $32 million and will generate $5 million of profits. In 2008, the turnover of the company was Rs 40 crore (Rs 400 million) and in 2009, it was Rs 80 crore (Rs 800 million). In the current year it will be 150-160 crore (Rs 1.5-1.6 billion).
"GlobalScholar is growing at 200 per cent every year. We have 1,000 schools and 10 million students, which is one out of 10 kids in the US, using our study material. This is almost 18 per cent of the US population. We are the fastest growing education company in the US."
GlobalScholar will soon introduce a pilot project in India and China. In the course of all this, Kalyana Raman became Kal Raman. "The country gave me everything and took half my name."

Giving back to society
Kal Raman is in India now for the Kumbhabhishekam of the temple at his village Mannarkoil. "It is taking place after 500 years. It is the culmination of two-and-a-half years of work. I have spent more than one and a half crore rupees (Rs 15 million) to renovate the temple and do the Kumbhabhishekam. More than anything else, I have given jobs to all my friends in the village who are masons and carpenters."
Other than this, he has also adopted all the orphanages around his village and he takes care of around 2,000 kids, some of whom are physically handicapped.
"I feel if I can educate these children, eventually we can make a difference in the society. We also help 100 children in their higher education. Around my village, everyone knows that if a kid who studies well cannot afford to pay fees, he has to only come to my house; his education will be taken care of."
"I do not do this as charity; its my responsibility. I am giving something back to the society that fed me, taught me, and took care of me and gave me hopes. "

Aspect of life.
The 90/10 Principle
10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react. What does this mean?
We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us. We cannot stop the car from breaking down. A driver may cut us off in traffic. We have no control over this 10%. You determine the other 90%. How? By your reaction.
You cannot control a red light, but you can control your reaction. Don't let people fool you; YOU can control how you react. Let's use an example.
You are eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a cup of milk onto your business shirt. You have no control over what just happened. What happens next will be determined by how you react. You curse. You harshly scold your daughter. She breaks down in tears. After scolding her, you turn to your wife and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge of the table. You storm upstairs and change your shirt. Back downstairs, you find your daughter has been too busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus.
You rush to the car and drive your daughter to school. After a 15-minute delay you arrive at school. After arriving at the office 20 minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. When you arrive home, you find small wedge in your relationship with your wife and daughter.
Why? Because of how you reacted in the morning. Why did you have a bad day?
A) Did the cup of hot milk cause it?
B) Did your daughter cause it?
C) Did you cause it?
The answer is “C".
You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% was determined by your reaction. A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, getting stressed out etc.
The 90-10 principle is incredible. Very few know and apply this principle. The result? Millions of people are suffering from undeserved stress, trials, problems and heartache. Next time you react to any situation, remember the 90-10 principle.

philosophy of life
A boat docked in a tiny Mexican fishing village.
A tourist complimented the local fishermen on the quality of their fish and asked
how long it took him to catch them.
" Not very long." they answered in unison.
"Why didn't you stay out longer and catch more?"
The fishermen explained that their small catches were sufficient to meet their needs and those of their families.
"But what do you do with the rest of your time?"
"We sleep late, fish a little, play with our children, and take siestas with our wives.
In the evenings, we go into the village to see our friends, have a few drinks, play the guitar, and sing a few songs.
We have a full life."
The tourist interrupted,
"I have an MBA from Harvard and I can help you!
You should start by fishing longer every day.
You can then sell the extra fish you catch.
With the extra revenue, you can buy a bigger boat."
"And after that?"
"With the extra money the larger boat will bring,
you can buy a second one and a third one and so on until you have an entire fleet of trawlers. Instead of selling your fish to a middle man,
you can then negotiate directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant.
You can then leave this little village and move to Mexico City , Los Angeles , or even New York City !
From there you can direct your huge new enterprise."
"How long would that take?"
"Twenty, perhaps twenty-five years." replied the tourist.
"And after that?"
"Afterwards? Well my friend, that's when it gets really interesting, " answered the tourist, laughing. "When your business gets really big, you can start buying and selling stocks and make millions!"
"Millions? Really? And after that?" asked the fishermen.
"After that you'll be able to retire,
live in a tiny village near the coast,
sleep late, play with your children,
catch a few fish, take a siesta with your wife
and spend your evenings drinking and enjoying your friends."
"With all due respect sir, but that's exactly what we are doing now. So what's the point wasting twenty-five years?" asked the Mexicans.
And the moral of this story is:
Know where you're going in life....
you may already be there J

and that the essence of who they are
and the pleasure, joy, and love that come
from that life can only be measured at the end,
when all the seasons are up.
If you give up when it's winter,
you will miss the promise of your spring,
the beauty of your summer, and fulfillment of your fall.
Don't let the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest.
Don't judge life by one difficult season.
Samudra Manthan - At Thailand Airport
Samudra Manthan - At Thailand Airport
In Bangkok , Thailand , there is new international airport called Suvarn-bhoomi.
Very interesting to know that country surrounded by other major religion has such a huge displayfrom the scripture of Devi Bhagavat and Vishnu Puran.
As is well known - majority of the population in Malaysia , Indonesia , Thailand , Cambodia etc., etc., are not Hindus - but they have the culture of respecting their forefathers who were Hindus - and also the Hindu Sanatan Dharma which is unique and has no comparison.
Please see this beautiful exhibit - which is very meaningful and has a message to the Society. When asked: Can we imagine putting up this kind of things in our Air Ports in India ?

YOUR LIFE IS AT RISK
No wonder more folks are dying from cancer than ever before. We wonder where this stuff comes from but here is an example that explains a lot of the cancer causing incidents. Hmmm. Many people are in their cars first thing in the morning and the last thing at night, 7 days a week. As I read this, it makes me feel guilty and ill. Guess its not too late to make some changes.
Car A/C (Air Conditioning) MUST READ!!!
Please do NOT turn on A/C as soon as you enter the car.
Open the windows after you enter your car and turn ON the AC after a couple of minutes.
Here's why:
According to a research, the car dashboard, sofa, air freshener emit Benzene, a Cancer causing toxin (carcinogen - take time to observe the smell of heated plastic in your car).
In addition to causing cancer, Benzene poisons your bones, causes anemia and reduces white blood cells.
Prolonged exposure will cause Leukemia, increasing the risk of cancer.
Can also cause miscarriage.
Acceptable Benzene level indoors is 50 mg per sq. ft. A car parked indoors with windows closed will contain 400-800 mg of Benzene.
If parked outdoors under the sun at a temperature above 60 degrees F, the Benzene level goes up to 2000-4000 mg, 40 times the acceptable level.
People who get into the car, keeping windows closed will inevitably inhale, in quick succession, excessive amounts of the toxin.
Benzene is a toxin that affects your kidney and liver.. What's worse, it is extremely difficult for your body to expel this toxic stuff.
So friends, please open the windows and door of your car - give time for interior to air out -dispel the deadly stuff - before you enter.
Thought:
'When someone shares something of value with you and you benefit from it, you have a moral obligation to share it with others.'

CRACKED POT
An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck.
One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.
At the end of the long walks from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.
For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water.
Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments.
But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had be! en made to do.
After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream.
'I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house.'
The old woman smiled, 'Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side?'
'That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them.'
'For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table.
Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house.'
Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding.
You've just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them.
SO, to all of my crackpot friends, have a great day and remember to smell the flowers on your side of the path!
And send this to any or all of your Crack Pot friends within 5 minutes and see what happens! Don't forget the
Crack Pot that sent it to you!!

The Art of Appraisal
The Art of Appraisal
Big Boss: This year your performance was good, excellent and outstanding. So, your rating is "average".
Kumar: What? How come 'average'?
Big Boss: Because...err...uhh...you lack domain knowledge.
Kumar: But last year you said I am a domain expert and you put me in this project as a domain consultant.
Big Boss: Oh is it? Well, in that case, I think your domain knowledge has eroded this year.
Kumar: What???
Big Boss : Yes, I didn't see you sharing knowledge on Purchasing domain.
Kumar: Why would I? Because I am not in Purchasing, I am in Manufacturing.
Big Boss : This is what I don't like about you. You give excuse for everything.
Kumar: Huh? *Confused*
Big Boss: Next, you need to improve your communication skills.
Kumar : Like what? I am the one who trained the team on "Business Communication", you sat in the audience and took notes, you remember?
Big Boss: Oh is it? Errr...well..I mean, you need to improve your Social Pragmatic Affirmative Communication.
Kumar: Huh? What the hell is that? *Confused*
Big Boss : See! That's why you need to learn about it.
Kumar: *head spinning*
Big Boss: Next, you need to sharpen your recruiting skills. All the guys you recruited left within 2 months.
Kumar : Well, not my mistake. You told them you will sit beside them and review their code, and most resigned the next day itself. Couple of them even attempted suicide.
Big Boss :*stunned* (recovers from shock) Err...anyway, I tried to give you a better rating, but our Normalization process gave you only 'average'.
Kumar: Last year that process gave me 'excellent'. This year just 'average'? Why is this process pushing me up and down every year?
Big Boss : That's a complicated process. You don't want to hear.
Kumar: I'll try to understand. Go ahead.
Big Boss : Well, we gather in a large room, write down the names of sub-ordinates in bits of paper, and throw them up in the air. Whichever lands on the floor gets 'average', whichever lands on table gets 'good', whichever we manage to catch gets 'excellent' and whichever gets stuck to ceiling gets 'outstanding'.
Kumar: (eyes popping out) What? Ridiculous! So who gets 'poor' rating?
Big Boss: Those are the ones we forget to write down.
Kumar : What the hell! And how can paper bits stick to ceiling for 'outstanding'?
Big Boss : Oh no, now you have started questioning our 20 year old organizational process!
Kumar: *faints*

Where you Working
A man is flying in a hot air balloon and realizes he is lost. He reduces height and spots a man down below. He lowers the balloon further and shouts: “Excuse me, can you tell me where I am?”
The man below says: “Yes, you’re in a hot air balloon, hovering 30 feet above this field.”
“You must work in Information Technology,” says the balloonist.
“I do,” replies the man. “How did you know?”
“Well,” says the balloonist, “Everything you have told me is technically correct, but it’s no use to anyone.”
The man below says, “You must work in Management.”
“I do,” replies the balloonist, “But how did you know?”
“Well,” says the man, “You don’t know where you are, or where you’re going, but you expect me to be able to help. You’re in the same position you were before we met, but now it’s my fault.”

NASA Space Pen
When NASA first started sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that ballpoint pens would not work in zero gravity. To combat the problem, NASA scientists spent a decade and $12 Million to develop a pen that writes in zero gravity, upside down, underwater, on almost any surface including glass and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to 300 C.

We Need Real Leaders Now, Not Hypsters
Our current slate of leaders all over the world are highly incompetent and unqualified to guide the human society because they do not understand the basic principles of existence, how the human society can live in a state of perfect harmony with the source of its existence and thus enjoy universal peace and prosperity. There is one thing however that they very expert in. And that is the art of hype. So what we need now more than ever on this planet is leaders, not hypsters, because when the blind lead the lead there is only one place where they will all end up. And that is in the ditch. So this then is our mission. We want to train a class of leaders all over the world who are fully conversant with the ultimate self realization science and are thus fully competent to guide the human society how to live in perfect harmony with the source of all existence, the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

Question: Why Do People Say that Their God is the Only Real God?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I really love whatever you tell us about Lord Sri Krishna. I also understand that we have to obey the spiritual rule of surrendering to Him. Why do the members of all the religions in the world say that their God is the only real God? Secondly. why don't we claim ourselves to be good human beings rather then claiming ourselves as Hindus, Muslims, Christians, etc.

Answer: Because They are Lacking in Common Sense
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Even though God is indeed one, many people who claim to be religious think that only someone in their religion can approach Him. This really does not make any sense because God is the father of all living beings. Whether I address Him in English as God, in Sanskrit as Krishna, or in Arabic as Allah, I am still praying to the same person. It never ceases to amaze me that so many people do not understand that God is multilingual. They must think that He only understands their language and nobody else's. If even an ordinary human being can be multi-lingual, why can't God be multi-lingual? Anybody with a little common sense can understand this. It is obvious then that these wranglers who think that God can be only by addressed by the name they call Him, are completely lacking in common sense.
You mentioned the "good human beings", but I do not see where are the good human beings nowadays when practically everyone is engaged in all varieties of sinful activities such as cow killing, baby killing, and torturing Mother earth by destroying the environment. Although they try to hide behind the cloak of "I'm a Hindu", "I'm a Muslim", "I'm a Christian", etc their sinful activities are being observed by higher authorities and they will be held accountable for them at the time of death. The way to our becoming good and perfect human beings is by identifying ourselves instead as servants of God and striving diligently to becoming perfect in our service to Him.

Great Spiritual Masters are Persecuted
Throughout world history it has been repeatedly seen that those who realize the Supreme Truth manifest great kindness upon the suffering souls of this world and thus powerfully broadcast the message of the Supreme Truth as far and as wide as possible to as many people as possible. And sadly such great spiritual masters are too often criticized and persecuted. The notable examples in this connection are Lord Jesus Christ and Hari Das Thakur. In an attempt to put him to death Lord Jesus was crucified. And in a similar attempt Haridas Thakur was severely beaten in twenty-two different market places. But in both cases these great devotees were protected by the Lord and could not be killed.
So we can similarly expect that sometimes in our efforts to share Krishna consciousness with those who are not so fortunate as to have it yet that we may sometimes be criticized, harassed, and persecuted. When this happens to us it is a real test of how serious we actually are to do whatever it takes to please our most beloved Lord Krishna, even if we have to be put into displeasing and difficult situations.

Answers According to the Vedic Version:
My Dear Guru Maharaja,
In a Gurukula class one of the students asked, "Why do the Japa beads have 108 beads and not any other figure?"
Your humble Servant,
Answer: 108 Upanisads and 108 Gopis
We have 108 beads because there are 108 Upanisads. By this chanting on the 108 beads we have surpassed the study of 108 Upanisads by realizing the conclusion of the 108, namely to be absorbed in the devotional service of Lord Sri Krishna.
Also there are 108 gopis in Vrindavan who are especially dear to Krishna. So by chanting on these 108 beads we are serving those 108 chief gopis. Serving Krishna's devotees is essential because becoming a devotee of Krishna means to become a devotee of the devotees of Krishna.

A Man Living with Half of a Body..
Awesome Photos and Information. .
Peng Shuilin had half of his body amputated after being run over by a truck. But he never gave up! His recovery has amazed surgeons after almost two years undergoing a series of operations.
The vice-president of the hospital where this 37-year old Chinese man has been treated said: He is amazing and the only person in the world to survive having so much of his body amputated.
He's doing well now and has opened his own bargain supermarket
- called the Half Man-Half Price Store. That's incredible. It seems nothing can get him down

It's all about attitude. Not what happens to you but what you after that determines where you will be in life

Question: Is Krishna Bhakti Supported in the Original Four Vedas?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I and a few devotees are preaching to some of our Muslim friends. They have asked some questions. Can you please answer them?
1. According to them only the Rig Veda, Sama Veda, Yajur Veda, and Atharva Veda are the original Vedas and are thus authoritative, while other scriptures such as the Upanishads are manmade and are not divine and authoritative. Can you please tell how to explain that all the Upanishads including the primary Vedas come under same category?
2. We quoted some verses from the Bhagavad-gita and the Brahma samhita where it is stated that Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. (They think that Krishna is human). But as they believe only the primary four Vedas are authoritative, they are not believing what we are saying. Can you please give me evidence from the original four Vedas that support Krishna's supremacy?
3. They also say that Vedas were written down because the sudras and vaisyas were not even allowed to look into it. Can I have your clarification, Gurudeva?
Regards,
Vishnu C.B.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Answer: Krishna Bhakti is Advocated There.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am very happy to hear that your Muslim friends accept the authority of the original four Vedas. Therefore they should note this mantra from the Rig Veda:
oṁ tad viṣṇoḥ paramaṁ padaṁ sadā paśyanti sūrayah
"Those who are actually learned in the Absolute Truth look to the abode of and worship only the Vishnu form of the Supreme Personality of Godhead in any of His various forms such as Krishna, Rama, etc."
--Rig Veda (1.22.20)
Therefore if they really accept the authority of the original four Vedas they will now have to surrender themselves unto Lord Vishnu in any one of His various forms. Let's see if they are not hypocrites and will do that.
And if your Muslim friends say that only the original four Vedas are authoritative Vedic truth, then we have to ask them where is it stated in the four original Vedas that only the four original Vedas are authoritative truth. The four original Vedas: Sama, Yajur, Rig, Atharva were compiled by Vedavyasa, who then explained them in the 108 Puranas, summarized them in the Vedanta-sutra, and further explained the Vedanta-sutra in the Srimad-Bhagavatam. So if we accept the authority of the original four Vedas, we must also accept the authority of the supplementary literatures since they are compiled by the same person, Vedavyasa.
While it is fact that the Vedic wisdom can only be understood by those who have been elevated to the higher status of transcendental knowledge, in the Vedic system of education everyone is given an equal opportunity to become elevated in knowledge by submissively inquiring from and serving a bona fide spiritual master.

BENEFITS OF DRINKING WATER ON EMPTY STOMACH
DRINK WATER ON EMPTY STOMACH
It is popular in Japan today to drink water immediately after waking up every morning. Furthermore, scientific tests have proven its value. We publish below a description of use of water for our readers. For old and serious diseases as well as modern illnesses the water treatment had been found successful by a Japanese medical society as a 100% cure for the following diseases:
Headache, body ache, heart system, arthritis, fast heart beat, epilepsy, excess fatness, bronchitis asthma, TB, meningitis, kidney and urine diseases, vomiting, gastritis, diarrhea, piles, diabetes, constipation, all eye diseases, womb, cancer and menstrual disorders, ear, nose and throat diseases.
METHOD OF TREATMENT:
1.As you wake up in the morning before brushing teeth, drink 4 x 160ml glasses of water
2. Brush and clean the mouth but do not eat or drink anything for 45 minute
3. After 45 minutes you may eat and drink as normal.
4. After 15 minutes of breakfast, lunch and dinner do not eat or drink anything for 2 hours
5. Those who are old or sick and are unable to drink 4 glasses of water at the beginning may commence by taking little water and gradually increase it to 4 glasses per day.
6. The above method of treatment will cure diseases of the sick and others can enjoy a Healthy life.
The following list gives the number of days of treatment required to cure/control/reduce main diseases:
1. High Blood Pressure (30 days)
2. Gastric (10 days)
3. Diabetes (30 days)
4. Constipation (10 days)
5. Cancer (180 days)
6. TB (90 days)
7. Arthritis patients should follow the above treatment only for 3 days in the 1st week, and from 2nd week onwards – daily.
This treatment method has no side effects, however at the commencement of treatment you may have to urinate a few times.
It is better if we continue this and make this procedure as a routine work in our life. Drink Water and Stay healthy and Active.
This makes sense…The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals not cold water. Maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating!!! Nothing to lose, everything to gain...
For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you.
It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion.
Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine.
Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.
A serious note about heart attacks:
• Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting,
• Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line..
• You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack.
• Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms.
• 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up.
• Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance we could survive...
A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this mail sends it to everyone they know, you can be sure that we'll save at least one life.
Please be a true friend and send this article to all your friends you care about
Hope it will be of benefits to you & others.

EATING FRUIT
We all think eating fruits means just buying fruits, cutting it and just popping it into our mouths.. It's not as easy as you think. It's important to know how and when to eat fruit.
What is the correct way of eating fruits?
IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUITS AFTER YOUR MEALS! * FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN
EMPTY STOMACH.
If you eat fruit like that, it will play a major role to detoxify your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities.
FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD.
Let's say you eat two slices of bread (ie in a sandwhich) and then eat a slice of fruit.
The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it is prevented from doing so.
In the meantime the whole meal rots and ferments and turns to acid.
The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil.
So please eat your fruits on an empty stomach or before your meals!
You have heard people complaining - every time I eat water-melon I burp, when I eat a banana I feel like running to the toilet etc - actually all this will not happen if you eat the fruit on an empty stomach.
The fruit mixes with the putrefying other foods and produces gas and hence you will feel bloated!
Graying hair, balding, nervous outbursts, and dark circles under the eyes: all these will not happen if you take fruits on an empty stomach.
There is no such thing as some fruits, like orange and lemon are acidic, because all fruits become alkaline in our body, according to Dr. Herbert Shelton who did research on this matter.
If you have mastered the correct way of eating fruits, you have the secret of beauty, longevity, health, energy, happiness and normal weight.
When you need to drink fruit juice - drink only fresh fruit juice, NOT from the cans.
Don't even drink juice that has been heated up.
Don't eat cooked fruits because you don't get the nutrients at all.
You only get to taste the flavor.
Cooking destroys all the vitamins.
But eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice.
If you should drink the juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful (ie slowly), because you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it.
You can go on a 3-day fruit fast to cleanse your body.
Just eat fruits and drink fruit juice throughout the 3 days and you will be surprised when your friends tell you how radiant you look!

Drinking Cold water after a meal = Cancer!
Can you believe this??
For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you.
It is nice to have a cup of a cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify any oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine.
Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer.
It is best to drink warm soup or warm water (coffee, tea, etc.) after a meal.
A serious note about heart attacks
HEART ATTACK PROCEDURE': (THIS IS NOT A JOKE!)
Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting.
Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.
You may never have a chest pain during the course of a heart attack.
Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms.
Sixty percent of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up.
Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep.
Let's be careful and be aware.
The more we know the better chance you have to survive....
A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this mail sends it to 10 people, you can be sure that we'll save at least one life.
Read this...It could save your life!!
Let's say it's 6.15 pm and you're driving home.
Suddenly you start experiencing severe pain in your chest that starts to radiate out into your arm and up into your jaw.
You are only about five miles from the hospital nearest your home.
Unfortunately you don't know if you'll be able to make it that far.
You have been trained in CPR, but the guy that taught the course did not tell you how to perform it on yourself.
'HOW TO SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK WHEN ALONE':
Since many people are alone when they suffer a heart attack, without help,
The person whose heart is beating improperly and who begins to feel faint, has only about 10 seconds left before losing consciousness.
However, these victims can help themselves by coughing repeatedly and vigorously.
A deep breath should be taken before each cough, deep and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep inside the chest.
A breath and a cough must be repeated about every two seconds without let-up until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again.
Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating.
The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm.
This allows the heart attack victim to get to a hospital.
Tell as many people as possible about this.
It could save their lives!!
