Members Project
This year will focus on bringing Care for Children programs to tribal schools in Jharkhand, India. http://www.membersproject.com/project/view/LS2N3S contains more details about the project. As of now, this project stands at No. 23 in the ranking of nominations. If it moves into the top 5, it stands to get close to $100,000 in funding.
The main features of Care for Children are:
Long term vision - build, maintain and run schools
Complete Primary and Secondary Education for each child (until 10th grade)
Holistic education with emphasis on social responsibilities and human values
Education in both English and local languages
Inculcate values related to Health and Hygiene
Curriculum that incorporates Yoga and Meditation to improve student performance
